If you are interested in learning the drums as a beginner or looking to compliment and develop your existing skills then JR Drumming Tuition can meet your needs - I offer tailored drumming lessons for all levels of ability and top class facilities to support your progress.
The drums are a hugely rewarding instrument to play and study - if you have a passion to be a drummer then I want to help you to achieve your goal!
I am based in Milton Keynes and have 25 years of drumming experience that covers a broad spectrum of live, recording, radio and television situations.
I am also qualified with a degree in music performance for drums and am an active professional drummer who thoroughly enjoys playing different styles of music.
I studied at Drumtech in London for my degree in music performance and was fortunate to study under the likes of Pete Cater, Tom Meadows (Girls Aloud, Duffy, Kylie Minogue), Paul Elliott, Justin Scott and Nick Twyman.
I work with Stantonbury Campus as a music practitioner and am provide support to year 10 and 11 BTEC music students in live performance and arranging - this job has been hugely rewarding and has give me the opportunity to coach young musicians of varying ability and experience.
I have worked with Ronan Keating promoting his album "Songs For My Mother" which went to number 1 in the UK charts.
I have also toured with Hafdis Huld promoting her number 1 album "Synchronised Swimmers" in Iceland - you can see some of these performances on my music & media page.
I have been part of many original music projects over the years, most recently I was involved in the recording of the album "Wide Of The Mark" with The Pressure Room. I am excited to say that I am in the process of recording with a brand new band and hope to have some additional material to add to this page in the very near future, so please visit again for future updates!
Recently I have been involved in supporting the charity "Show Racism The Red Card" and have composed music in conjunction with Sarah Croft that will be used for educational and promotional activities - I am proud to be involved with an organisation that has the aim of eliminating racism in sport and in wider society.
